The Basic Law for the Federal Republic of Germany is a central object of historical and political education. However, while the historical perspective is well prepared for teaching, there are desiderata in the political perspective. In particular, the training of policy teachers lacks a systematic approach to constitutional law. The book closes this gap by identifying constitutional concepts and preparing them for teaching.
