Vibha Surana is Professor of German at the Department of German, University of Mumbai. She is a Research Fellow of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. Her areas of interest include German Literature, Intercultural German Studies, Comparative Literature, Comparative Aesthetics, Literary Translation and Didactics. She has authored Text und Kultur. Goethes Die Leiden des jungen Werthers and Agyeyas Shekhar: ek Jivani. Eine interkultrelle Studie (2002) and Die Europhonie der Kultur. Deutsch-indische Ahamomente (2009). She has co-edited Schiller and Aesthetic Education Today (2007), Einfach menschlich. Kurzprosa aus Indien (2011), My Marathi. 1. Textbook for Communicative Marathi (2014), My Marathi. 1. Workbook for Communicative Marathi (2014), Interkulturelle Momente. Hundred Years of German Studies at the University of Mumbai (2014). Meher Bhoot is currently Associate Professor and Head at the Department of German, University of Mumbai. Her doctoral thesis was on Cultural Identity and Interculturality in the Works of Rafik Schami. She has been a DAAD Fellow and was awarded the Rotary Cultural and Ambassadorial Scholarship in 1997.
