'The Forfeiture of Sovereignty and Sovereign Rights. A Contribution to the Theory of Forfeiture of Rights and Power': Taking into account comparative law, legal history and political philosophy, it is examined whether the anthropocentric turn in international law paves the way for a general principle of law of forfeiture of sovereignty. The forfeiture of state immunity is partly affirmed, the forfeiture of territorial integrity is denied using the example of humanitarian intervention and the possibility of remedial secession due to the forfeiture of the right to territorial unity is supported.

Anna Bodemann studierte Rechtswissenschaften von 2001 bis 2005 an der Bucerius Law School in Hamburg und der University of Virginia School of Law. Die beiden juristischen Staatsexamina erfolgten in Hamburg in den Jahren 2006 und 2012. Die am Lehrstuhl von Professor Dr. Dr. Udo Di Fabio entstandene und mit einem Promotionsstipendium der Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes geförderte Dissertation wurde 2022 von der Rechts- und Staatswissenschaftlichen Fakultät der Rheinischen Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn angenommen.
