Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is one of the most prevalent childhood psychiatric disorders of our time. The condition is defined by levels of inattention, hyperactivity and impulsivity that are in impairing and developmentally inappropriate. Michael Fitzgerald is Professor of Child Psychiatry at Trinity College Dublin. He has published over 100 papers and edited or co-edited ten books. He specialises in Autism and ADHD. Michael Gill is Professor of Psychiatry at Trinity College Dublin and head of the Neuropsychiatric Genetics Research Group. Mark Bellgrove is Research Fellow in the Departments of Psychology, Psychiatry and the Institute of Neuroscience, Trinity College Dublin. He is currently leading the first genotype/phenotype study of ADHD to be conducted in Ireland.
