Muammer Koc, PhD, is director of the NSF I/UCRC Center for Precision Forming and the Materials, Design, and Manufacturing Lab. His research interests include manufacturing processes and systems, product and product design, and design and manufacturing of nano/micro-scale functional surface structures. Tugrul Özel, PhD, is the Director of Manufacturing Automation Research Laboratory and Assistant Professor in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. His teaching and research interests include computational modeling of machining and forming processes, micro-geometry design for advanced tooling, and multi-criteria optimization of manufacturing operations.
